After searching for over 6,000 miles and more than a month, I found my homestead right next to Eagle Island. There must be at least 30 bald eagles nesting where the river meets the ocean. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen. The sokeye salmon flood the rivers and you can legally snag 6 of them a day. I watched a humpback whale feed on Krill right off the shore in town. It surfaced with its massive mouth wide open, scooping the surface. I must’ve followed it for an hour. The glaciers around here are unbelievable. If you ever make it to Alaska, a must stop.
